Our last couple of rental seasons have, of course, been somewhat different due to Covid! Both however were highly successful, with guests from European nations visiting more owing to UK travel restrictions. We were also accredited by Greece's Ministry of Tourism for the COVID-19 protocols we have in place. That meant all our guests were assured of the safest possible stay at VLB, indeed the feedback we received from all guests through that last two Covid years has confirmed this! Reviews we receive from our guests each & every year suggest we're continuing to get things right. Value, luxury, honest & friendly service is what we're all about.
Right now it's January 2024 and we are spending an extended period at VLB. We have lots of enhancements in progress which our guests will be able to enjoy this season. Our island home gets better every year and this has been reflected in superb ongoing feedback.
It's also worth adding that VLB now boasts vastly improved internet along with good array of worldwide TV channels. There has never been a better time to visit our beautiful island home!

Why Rhodes?
We're delighted to confirm that Rhodes was recently named Europe’s top destination and fifth favourite in the world by the users of the online travel site TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel community!
Rhodes has the best sunshine record of all the Greek islands and its history is a rich blend of Byzantine, Latin and Turkish. Rhodes Town has narrow cobbled streets that date back to the days of the Knights of St John. These days, they are lined with cafés, restaurants and boutiques, but otherwise the town seems untouched since medieval times.
Small villages and resorts dot the island's other shores. Whether your interests are beaches, bars or ancient sites, Rhodes offers an abundance of all three. Authentic Greece can be found in the hilly interior of the 50-mile long island
Rhodes was also recently the only short haul (from UK) destination in the top ten of the Traveller’s Choice Destinations Awards, winning the accolade for highlights ranging from the largest inhabited Medieval town in Europe, located in the island’s capital, to more rural attractions such as the Valley of the Butterflies, not forgetting beautiful Lindos with its lovely beaches overlooked by the historic acropolis.

Large choice of flights from nearly all UK airports including smaller regional airports such as Doncaster & Cardiff. TUI Airways offer the widest range of direct flights to Rhodes from UK regional airports. Other popular airlines for flying to Rhodes between April and October are British Airways, EasyJet, Wizz and Jet2.com.
Consider visiting "off season". Of all the Greek islands Rhodes has a consistently reliable sunshine record. It is hardly surprising that many discerning holidaymakers are going to Rhodes in the winter months. There are no direct flights off season but flying via Athens is easy and cheap - British Airways and EasyJet both offer low cost fares to Athens. It is then simply case of connecting on to Aegean Airlines for the 45 minute "hop" to Rhodes.
On arrival at Rhodes airport, there's no waiting to be herded on to a coach, just pick up your pre-booked car (rental companies, including M&S Rent A Car, Hertz, Avis and Holiday Autos operate on the island) and head straight down to Lindos - your villa is less than 40 minutes drive! We strongly recommend hiring a car, 99% of our guests over the years have rented a car. Whilst Lindos is close it would be too hot to walk there in the heat of the day! Nearly all our guests rent through M&S Rent a Car. Pavlos & Mary who run it are just amazing, as are their cars! No need to drive on arrival (when you may fancy a gin & tonic or some bubbles on the flight!) as Pavlos will collect you and your entire group along with all luggage and drive you to VLB!
